A delightful loaf cake inspired by apple cider donuts. Made with a mix of spices and buttery goodness, topped with a sweet apple cider glaze and cinnamon sugar for a cozy autumn treat.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a small bowl and set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine melted butter, sugar, and sour cream.
Add in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Add apple cider and dry ingredients. Mix just until moistened.
 Pour into the prepared pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, make the glaze by heating sugar and apple cider in a small pot until it boils. Let it boil for 1 minute and then remove from heat.
Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl for the topping.
Cool pound cake for 15 minutes in the pan, then remove the cake.
Use a pastry brush to brush the apple cider glaze over the top of the cake.
Immediately sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
