Baked Ham Cheese and Egg in Bread Bowls
15 mins prepServes 4
A delicious brunch dish where hard rolls are filled with ham, eggs, and cream, then baked to perfection. These bread bowls are practical as they can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge until ready to bake.
1: Preheat oven to 350°F.
2: Cut a circle in the top of the rolls and hollow out a little extra bread to make a crater for the egg.
3: Line each hole with a piece of ham.
4: Crack an egg into each roll.
5: Pour about 1 or 2 teaspoons of heavy cream in each roll and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of Parmesan cheese.
6: Season with salt and pepper.
7: Bake the bread bowls and the tops for 25 minutes or until the egg is at your preferred doneness.
8: Remove from oven and sprinkle with parsley.
9: Serve each boat with a top for dunking.
