Nantucket Pie

1: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9” springform pan.

2: In a bowl, combine cranberries, walnuts, and sugar. Toss well and pour into the pan evenly, patting it down slightly.

3: In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and sugar; mix well.

4: Add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and orange zest. Mix until smooth.

5: Add the flour and salt, and mix until combined. The batter will be thick.

6: Carefully spread the batter over the cranberry/walnut mixture until covered.

7: Place the springform pan on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes.

8: Let it sit for 15 minutes before gently running a butter knife around the perimeter to release the pie from the pan.

9: Slowly release the side of the pan and invert onto a plate, using a butter knife to help remove the bottom if needed.
