Strawberry Shortcake

1: Preheat oven to 350F.

2: Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.

3: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4: Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5: Add in vanilla.

6: Gradually add the dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk and beat well.

7: Pour the batter into a greased and floured fluted tube or bundt pan.

8: Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 50-60 minutes.
