A flavorful dish featuring green beans and mushrooms coated in a savory sauce made from sesame oil, maple syrup, and chili sauce. This vibrant veggie dish can be enhanced with crispy tofu, rotisserie chicken, or sautéed shrimp for added protein.
In a bowl, combine sesame oil, maple syrup, soy sauce, chili sauce, ginger, and garlic; stir to combine and set aside.
In a pot of salted boiling water, add green beans, reduce to a simmer, and simmer for 3 minutes.
Drain the green beans and run them under cold water to stop the cooking process; set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, then remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and the green beans; cook for a few minutes until they begin to char.
Add the prepared sauce to the skillet with the green beans and cook for about 4 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
Stir in chopped peanuts and sesame seeds, ensuring everything is coated well.
Enjoy your Sweet Chili Greenbeans and Mushrooms!
